Well, it's been a happy, busy, crazy month or so. Besides a wonderful experience reading at Tulane University were Dr. Guadalupe Garcia taught my first book in her Cuban history seminar, and the online publication of "Dr. Cubanita" in Kweli Journal guest-edited by the fabulous Jennine Capó Crucet--who, by the by, will be Skype-ing with my Hispanic Women Writers class tomorrow, my story "The Law of Progress" was republished and included in the Guernica 10th Anniversary volume; here is the link for when it was first appeared online.
Also, as many of you know, I teach at the University Central Florida and that I specialize in women's studies, Latino/a Literature and creative writing; many of my academic publications are focused on feminist pedagogy and Hybrid Pedagogy just published an essay I co-wrote with Aimee deNoyelles; here's the link to that one. I love teaching and hope it shows in this article.
That's it for now. I'm bracing for the end of the semester and lots of grading--not the most fun part of teaching, for sure.
